03 Nov 2023: Ørsted are applying for an investigation permit for the Gotland offshore wind farm and export cable corridor. Ørsted is requesting the permits last for 7 years. The works being applied for are: Investigations in the area of the offshore wind farm: • Geophysical survey of the seabed in 2025 to plan for preparing the consent application etc • Geophysical surveys in 2028 with so-called 3D sparker technology to identify suitable, specific areas for foundation installation. • Geophysical survey in 2029 to ensure absence of UXO (non-exploded munitions) • Geophysical survey in 2030 to inspect the possible presence of UXO for relocation or clearing • Construction preparatory geophysical surveys in 2031 before the start of construction. Surveys in areas for the export cable corridor : • Geophysical survey of the seabed in 2024 to plan for preparing the consent application etc • Geophysical survey in 2029 to ensure absence of UXO (non-exploded munitions) • Geophysical survey in 2030 to inspect the possible presence of UXO for relocation or clearing • Construction preparatory geophysical surveys in 2031 before the start of construction.
