01 Sep 2022: The Indian National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE) has put out a tender for for the supply and installation of a LiDAR as well as meteorological and oceanographic sensors in three locations (B1, C1, and E2) off the coast of Tamil Nadu in the Gulf of Mannar. The tender deadline is expected to be the 26th of September. The announcement date of a successful tender is unknown. The expected resulting wind farm that may occur due to the results of this LiDAR tender is anticipated to be 20MW. The exact location and contents of this wind farm are as yet unknown. 4C Offshore will update more when more is known and/or happens.
