Design Envelope: • 35 to 49 turbines • 290 to 316 m tip height • 250 to 276 m rotor diameter • Monopile or jacket foundations • 1 substation (220 kV HVAC) on a jacket, a monopile, or two monopiles • 18 km of export cables • 91 to 111 km of inter-array cabling (66 or 132 kv) • 35 year lifetime Timeline: • Offshore construction in 2027 • COD in 2029 Update 23rd May 2024: Application as not yet been submitted. Update 18th April 2024: Application as not yet been submitted. Update November 2023: The developer is indicating that it is to submit the planning application in 2024. Update August 203: The developer plans to submit the application by the end of 2023. Update Sept 2022: A planning application won't be made until after the ORESS-1 results were announced. This won't take place until 21 June 2023. Application for planning will likely be made.
