01 Oct 2023: In October, KEPCO applied for a preliminary feasibility study from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (MOTIE) for the KSA-1 offshore wind power project, totalling 408MW. The KSA-1 offshore wind project is to build a 408MW (17MWx24 units) offshore wind farm 30km west of Imjado, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, and will cost KEPCO 37.96 billion won out of a total project cost of 265.7 billion won. The project has been redesigned and will be developed in this form (rather than the previous plan of 1.5 GW).
