28 Jun 2024: Update August 2024: The consultation end was delayed due to errors in the consultation material. Project costs were overestimated, and consequently LCOE estimates have decreased. This could lead to an decrease in government support. Update August 2024: The deadline of the consultation has been extended by two weeks until 6 September 2024. When questioned, the Minister of Energy said they wanted more time to justify why the deadline has been delayed. Update June 2024: The Ministry have sent the consultation on the use of state support for Utsira Nord, Vestavind F, and Vestavind B to the ESA. Norway is considering either a CfD or investment support (contribution to upfront capital) that can be award for a maximum number of projects or a maximum number of MW. The consultation assumes a floating LCOE of EUR 134/MWh. The consultation runs until 23 August 2024 The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy will carry out a public consultation on eligibility and the most important parameters for the grant award. They aim for the consultation to be carried out before the summer of 2024.
